Home Made Ramen Episode 4

Well, it's time for another attempt at home made ramen. I took my vacation from work last week so I thought that it'd be a good chance to try again since I would have lots of time. I took into account the lessons I'd learned from my last try so read on to find out my latest result!

Home Made Ramen Episode 3

Well, I'm no longer in Japan. Unfortunately, I still love ramen. You might recall that I have blogged a lot about the noodle soup over the last year. I tried to make it not once, but twice. I considered both attempts unsuccessful and vowed to try again once home in Canada. I finally got down to it. Read on for my process!

My Japanese Time Piece: The Tokyo Sky Tree

One thing I wanted to write about was how I watched the Tokyo Sky Tree being errected from my house. I didn't notice the tall tower right away when I first moved into my apartment, but it became a fixture in my life after I did.

Tokyo Sky Tree.

Homeward Bound!

Well, it was finally time to get going home. I was just about ready. I feel like the story of my trip to Japan was what surprised me. I was so prepared to be unsurprised by anything that what did surprise me, really surprised me. To be honest, I was probably really looking forward to coming home, and that surprised me.

One Last Night in Tokyo, Japan

I bet you can't guess where I spent my last night in Tokyo. That's right, Shibuya. I spent a lot of time there in October. My good-bye party was great, and even though it was only three days from my departure date it felt too early and so I invited my friends out for one last drink on Monday night.

Farewell to a Few Great Friends

For my last Saturday in Japan, I spent the night out with a few of the friends I had made while I was in Tokyo. Well in advance of that week Taka had planned the night out so all that was left was to show up!

Goodbye Fukugawa

I wasn't really content with my last time in the Fukugawa area where I had lived for 11 months. My moving out day was so hectic that I hardly had time to say goodbye to my neighbourhood properly so I returned for one last look.

Edogawa Ramen

Living with Taihei obviously put me closer to my most beloved ramen joint. I knew time was short so I made sure to eat there as many times as possible. I was also up for other options though. As long as it was ramen then I'd eat it.

Shibuya Nights

With my time remaining in Japan coming down to less than a week and my funds quickly approaching zero, I turned to Shibuya for cheap entertainment. While I never really appreciated the youthful district when I first arrived by the end I knew I was going to miss it dearly.

Manazuru Again?

Yep, I returned to Manazuru one last Sunday evening. Among other things, I really enjoy the train ride down the coast. What else would I see during October's crappy weather?

Naka-Meguro Pizza

Thomas knew that I'd be leaving Tokyo soon, so he insisted on taking me out for pizza at a new favourite restaurant. We were both free (as I usually was) on Thursday the 14th, so we met up at Naka-Meguro for an Italian lunch.

Giving Thanks in Tokyo

By Thanksgiving weekend I had finally moved the rest of my crap into Taihei's apartment. I ended up coming with a lot more stuff than I wanted to so it was a little crowded. Taihei and I escaped his apartment to a friend's for a little get-together on a Canadian holiday Monday.

Surreal: Ayumi Hamasaki Concert

I mentioned back in August that I managed to buy a ticket for an extension of Ayumi Hamasaki's 2010 concert tour. It was a Tokyo only concert dubbed "7days Special". Only two days after Bran and Amy left, I took a break from my apartment cleaning and headed out to the concert.

This is my last post for vending machines in Japan. It's not actually the last one I found though.
