I'm a minimalist. Sleeper is the way to go.

Personally, I'm into the sleeper look. I have made only two changes to the outside of the car as far as the way it came and besides trying to somehow work in flush foglamps, I intend on leaving the car the way it is. When I bought the car, it had some ugly foglamps up front that did not work. I took them off, but they left two large holes that were cut out for their placement in my front bumper cover. I painted my mirrors and door handles as well as they were beat up and faded when the car came home. Like most of these cars, the rubber moldings around the door were cracked and faded as well so I replaced those with brand new ones.

As far as major body work, I bought the car with a small dent in the front right side fender. My painter needed to remove the bumper cover to pull the dent, so he sprayed the bumper cover and the upper half of that fender. At the same time I had a paint smudge repaired. My neighbour backed into my car one morning and luckily only scratched my door. Finally, I purchased a GT spoiler from a junk yard which needed to be refinished. New mounting and access holes were drilled and the new spoiler attached. I love the look of a GT spoiler on an LX. It gives the rear some height and looks like it's supposed to be there because it's a factory piece!

Can't forget the wheels. They're charcoal Bullitts off a 2004 Mustang GT. 17"x8" wearing practically brand new 245/45ZR17 Goodyear Eagle ZR45s. The wheels were more or less brand new with no curb rash and clean, unstained interiors. I have Bullitt/Mach 1 springs in the car which are supposed to drop it by at least 3/4", but I don't think it's even that much. Either way, from ground to wheel well tip it's 27" in front and 27 1/4" out back.
